Casinos are benefiting from artificial intelligence to help secure their activity

Now that the COVID-19 pandemic has begun to fade and casinos around the world are facing fiscal and operational challenges, many operators of these entertainment complexes are looking to artificial intelligence (AI) to ensure that the casino remains in optimal operation. Robotic Assistance Devices (RAD), a subsidiary of Artificial Intelligence Technology Solutions (AITS), has announced the interest of a casino operator in acquiring a large number of RAD devices. It seems that the operator is looking to optimize its operations and is relying on AITS to do so.

According to the letter of intent shared by the company, the casino operator is looking to obtain a minimum of 12 ROSA security units, a ROAMEO mobile security robot and a SCOT stationary tower. According to the partnership reached, the customer is allowed to increase the number of units ordered without the need to restart the purchase process.

“It’s a picture-perfect commercial deployment, with multiple ROSAs keeping an eye on the facility and their guests, a SCOT at the main entrance providing valuable information and security, plus a ROAMEO on patrol between the parking structure and the front entrance. We expect that these quantities could double in the coming months, at this one location. This is going to be such a great deployment,” said Steve Reinharz, CEO of AITX and RAD.

ROSA is considered a compact security and communication solution that has the ability to be deployed in less than 15 minutes. Based on AI, ROSA’s security analytics include human and vehicle detection, license plate recognition, responsive digital signage and audio messaging. On the other hand, ROAMEO is a mobile security robot weighing nearly 700 pounds and standing nearly six feet tall, capable of autonomously patrolling a property or periphery and monitoring its surroundings.

Lastly, SCOT is a tower of the same size whose ability to autonomously perform many of the tasks that would be performed by a manned post. This tower can be placed for the purpose of recording and monitoring human and vehicle activity in any environment, both indoors and outdoors.
