The iGaming space is getting a real-life appearance thanks to artificial intelligence

Casino gambling has always been popular not only for the thrill of the hunt, but for the experience of being able to interact with other gamblers and enjoy the sights and sounds of the casino floor. Online casinos have become extremely popular over the past couple of years, more because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but that social experience was a missing component. That is no longer the case, as artificial intelligence (AI) is helping deliver a live casino experience to the iGaming segment.

Through AI, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) are quickly becoming the standard for online casinos. Although once cost-prohibitive and clumsy, AR and VR technology has evolved substantially in the past couple of years, now able to deliver a virtual casino experience in real-time with all of the same attributes gamblers experience in land-based casinos. As the technologies continue to evolve, AR and VR casinos will become even more realistic and play a larger role in the online gaming experience.

As beneficial as those technologies are to providing a lifelike casino experience online, there are times when using the necessary equipment may not be possible. Mobile online casinos are also getting a boost from AI, providing an immersive and more secure gaming experience, whether the gambler is sitting in an airport or lounging around the pool. The introduction of AI enables faster, more reliable connections that can gauge the network speed in order to optimize the throughput to keep the gaming activity running smoothly.
