The leading gaming equipment providers showed off their next generation of possibilities at ICE London two weeks ago
Less than two weeks ago, the ICE London took place, and one of the main features of this year’s event was the companies that are now dedicated to technology development through the use of artificial intelligence (AI). One of the most highlighted presentations came from Scientific Games (SG), which received several distinctions for its products. SG’s Vision solution technology was the ultimate winner and received the Supplier Innovation of the Year at the 2020 Gaming Intelligence Awards. As a provider of technology services to casinos, iGaming companies and sports betting, it is truly a step forward for the online gaming industry.
“We’re honored to have our gaming platforms recognized by three major global award shows at ICE London 2020,” said Scientific Games President and CEO Barry Cottle. SG uses biometric technology to improve the gaming experience through its SG Vision technology that has an object-recognition feature that can verify the age of the players as well as their identity – in case it’s a VIP customer or an excluded person – providing a more personalized experience.
Not only its technology, but also SG’s management was praised for its contributions. Both Chief Product Officer Tim Bucher and SG Gaming UK CEO Phil Horne were selected to be part of the Gaming Intelligence Hot 50 class of 2020.
Besides SG, there are other companies using similar technology to provide better services to casino operations. Konami is one of those companies, and it also handles biometric technology through its SYNKROS casino management system. This platform integrates not only security features, but in the same way, it is functional to follow through a loyalty service. By using facial recognition features, casinos can identify their customers and track their progress in the game. Recently during the Data Quadrant Awards category, Konami’s SYNKROS received a gold medal for the Casino Management Systems category.
