The inclusion of the AI-based tools will allow the company to offer better options to gamblers
Stats Perform was built around the delivery of sports data and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for the sports gambling industry, and has just added two more components to its portfolio that will make it even stronger. The company announced that it has acquired SmartReels and SmartRatings from Thuuz Sports, which it expects to provide a significant boost to the interactive experience it provides to its customers.
SmartReels and SmartRatings are two AI-powered platforms that enhance viewer engagement. They are fully automated, allowing them to be easily integrated into existing channels. SmartReels, a highlight reel generator, can be used for both live and prerecorded games and can also be exported to be used on different websites and through editing software.
SmartRatings was developed to automatically generate “excitement ratings,” as well as alerts and headlines designed to drive engagement. It, along with SmartReels, uses AI to interpret live audio and video that is then used to determine the level of excitement in analyzed games.
The cost of the acquisition wasn’t mentioned, but Stats Perform CEO Carl Mergele explained, “Fan engagement has become one of the biggest challenges in our industry; the way fans consume sport is fundamentally changing. If you are in media and broadcast, there is a desire to get real-time alerts on exciting games and quickly find the right highlights to share socially or on screen. These unique AI-powered products will be added to Stats Perform’s media, technology, betting and fantasy solutions to help our customers yield a significant increase in engagement on their platforms.”
